Is it me or has this year's January sales been a huge letdown? This time last year I had so many clothes bags and shoes my family thought I'd started up a business on eBay. This year is another kettle of fish. In fact, it's another breed of animal. I'll admit I've made a couple of purchases but the majority of the items weren't even in the damn sale. People were milling around the stores in the West End picking up what looked like to me as nothing but cack and tat. I don't know if I'm losing my lustre or the shops are only putting the shit they couldn't sell at the beginning of the season in to get rid of it.
I managed to get a coat that actually fits me so I don't look swamped and can still have a couple of layers (see the previous post) for a decent price too. Hoorah. As for me finding any decent trousers or skirts in my size, forget it! I've even been on my trusted ASOS.com and have not had the best luck. I ordered some trousers from there and they came complete with what looked like a bleach stain. Currently on its way back to their depot now. You bet your bad ass they are. I did get some great eyeshadow at a knockdown price, but this to me does not constitute to a great end of season sale.
People assume as I'm small that I have no trouble finding clothes to fit. What a bloody joke. The age old grass is greener scenario comes to mind. I'd like to put some weight on when I know plenty of my friends want to give it to me. I won't even mention the conversation I had on Facebook regarding my weight gain over Christmas and people telling me about my gym visits. KMT.
As for the gym, I'm most annoyed and frustrated because I have been advised by my doctor that I should rest it – ligament ruptured. Not happy. Hurts. Flat shoes. Thankfully on the mend now, and I was even naughty today and wore my Mary Janes out. Life on the edge, I know.
If anyone knows of anywhere I can get clothes reasonably priced for a 5'2 (and a half) size 6 with no hips and a decent sized bottom, I'd be grateful for your assistance.
